Eric R. Ramirez-Thompson is a professor of Criminal and Justice Studies at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn Illinois. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his MS from California State University, Long Beach. While in California, he worked as a Medicare fraud examiner and within the computer forensic software industry. He has published journal articles and contributions to books related to intellectual property theft, drug courts, and most recently the benefits of exercise for first responders. His most recent article is titled, Theft of Intellectual Property: Neutralization Techniques in an Era of Computerization (2020).
